Starbucks Rolls Out Beta Testing on New Polygon-Powered NFT Rewards Program

US coffee giant Starbucks has launched a beta of a new rewards program that allows members to earn and buy Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) created on the Polygon (MATIC) blockchain.

In a recent statement, Starbucks Odyssey, the world’s largest coffee shop chain, is rolling out Starbucks Odyssey, a loyalty program for U.S. customers, employees and partners who have signed up to be on the program’s waitlist. said.

Members can participate in a series of interactive activities called “Journeys”. Upon completion, you’ll be rewarded with a “Journey Stamp” NFT made with MATIC and Odyssey Points to unlock new perks and experiences.

The Seattle-based company said it sent out the first invites this month and will continue to send invites to more people starting in January 2023.

Starbucks announced in September that it would launch a blockchain-based rewards program in partnership with Polygon.

At the time of writing, MATIC is trading at $0.93, up 4.09% over the last 24 hours.
