Acting legend Bill Murray recently delivered his first major promise for last year’s eventful “Bill Murray 1000” NFT collection. As a result, we featured the mantle of Guest of Honor at our recent members-only event at Goat Hill Park in Oceanside California.
An NFT holder party hosted by the “Bill Murray 1,000” NFT project saw collectors and industry insiders there to meet the 72-year-old comedy icon. Murray’s presence added a touch of humor and glamor to an already exciting event, and people were eager to take pictures and talk to the Hollywood legend.
Last weekend, Bill Murray and his partners made headlines at an exclusive NFT event hosted by Web3 startup Project Venkman and comedy website The Chive. The Bill Murray 1,000 NFT Project, held at a golf course in Oceanside, California, brought Murray fans together for a day filled with the fun and excitement of his NFTs.
Murray hosted a pie-eating contest, telling stories and talking with fans for hours, providing a unique and memorable experience. Chive hopes to replicate that success at future live events for Murray fans.

The actor has entered the NFT market with a collection that combines his signature humor with a love of giving back to the community. In a recent interview, Murray said he would only join NFTs if they were fun and could do something good in the process.
Bill Murray’s NFTs include generative art created by the actor, stories written from his life, access to live events, and private community membership. Sales of the collection benefited Chive his charity as well as other causes, such as Goathill restoring his space, a community that had been saved from development.
The first batch of Original Bill (OB) NFTs sold out in just 30 seconds after going live on Coinbase NFTs last July. The turnover generated about $1.4 million in his ETH, and buyers want him to spend over $1,850 to join an exclusive community.
