The non-fungible token (NFT) market has been bearish for the past few months.
Singapore-based blockchain startup Affyn today announced that it has officially launched the entire collection of “Generation Zero Buddies” (Gen 0) NFTs.
The NFT collection sold in less than 100 seconds, making it one of the fastest NFT sales in the ecosystem. The Generation Zero Buddies collection consists of 400 NFTs, also known as Buddies.
According to a press release shared with Coinjournal, Buddies is the first set to participate in Affyn’s NEXUS World Metaverse. The team added that Buddies offers a variety of utilities, including different metaverses and interoperability between blockchain games.
The team added that the first set of NFTs recently sold for 2,995 FYN tokens was rare by design, and that rarity was classified as a “myth.”
While commenting on this latest development, Affyn founder and CEO Lucaz Lee said:
The user participation we experienced during the 0th generation sale was overwhelming and encouraging. We sincerely thank the community for their enthusiastic support and trust in us. What in the coming months? I can’t wait to see if it will come. “
Affyn is a Singapore-based company that leverages blockchain technology to develop mobile games. The mobile game integrates geoposition and augmented reality features.
In addition, the company said it is pioneering a gaming model with a sustainable play-and-earning economy where rewards earned in the virtual world can be used in the real world.
The team added that due to its unique features, practicality, rarity, and Affyn’s “Buddies,” it is in great demand, as seen in NFT sales within two minutes.
Like the broader crypto market, the NFT market has been declining in performance over the past seven months. The lowest rates for most NFTs have dropped significantly in the last few months as the bear market began.
