Immutable continues its partnership with Warner Bros to release the web3 mobile game Blocklete Golf from Discovery Sports on Immutable X.
Last month Warner Bros. added a Web3 quiz game to create the Bleacher Report Watch-to-Earn (B/R W2E game). Additionally, Warner is furthering its partnership with Immutable by moving Blocklete Golf from the Flow blockchain to Immutable X. The move is reportedly due to his NFT minting with fast transactions and no gas, backed by Ethereums robust security and decentralization.
Andrew Sorokovsky, Immutable’s Vice President of Global Business Development, commented:
“[Warner Bros]Our dedication to pushing the boundaries and being an early adopter of web3 proves that decentralized solutions are rapidly moving toward mass adoption, empowering millions of people with digital assets. It offers new and exciting ways to interact with your entertainment media while taking full control of your . “
Additionally, Yang Adija, senior vice president of digital operations and innovation at WBD Sports, called the move to Immutable “a natural choice for us.”
Blocklete Golf is an interactive traditional mobile golf management game that allows players to guide a golf character through virtual links in PvP matchups and tournaments. The game features an advanced Play-and-Earn model. This has become the default for many games looking to move away from the Play-to-Earn model that Axie Infinity rose to stardom in the final Bull Run.
CryptoSlate reports moving away from “Play-to-Earn”. In April 2022, in an interview with Polkastarter co-founder Daniel Stockhaus, he argued that web3 games should not focus purely on a “play-to-earn” model. He said,
“I don’t think it’s about making money by clicking in-game.[] It’s not about delivering value that doesn’t create a better world or a better economy. “
Blocklete Golf sets itself apart from other web2 mobile games by allowing gamers to collect, train and trade unique NFT-based avatars and use them to compete against others. I’m aiming for a drawing game.

However, the surge in activity on the Immutable X blockchain and its adoption by companies such as Warner Bros. shows a further appreciation of decentralized technology by the traditional web2 brand.
