ApeCoin DAO Votes To Fund Bored Ape Yacht Club 24-Hour News Website Using APE

The popular community-based crypto phenomenon that started with the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) continues to grow.

According to the forum Position On the website of BAYC’s affiliated digital asset ApeCoin (APE), the community voted overwhelmingly in favor of funding an online news site called The Bored Ape Gazette.

In mid-June, a proposal was posted on the forums seeking approximately $150,000 in annual funding for this publication through a grant from the ApeCoin Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).

The author of the proposal states:

We have a year-long plan to transform the Bored Ape Gazette into a sustainable business model, and we are applying for community grants to help us achieve this goal.

Enhancements include a live ticker to track NFT artwork sales, APE price charts, and a community events calendar.

Yesterday, a forum member with the username Moonkt announced that over 87% of the community voted to approve the additional funding.
