Welcome to CryptoArt Sundays! We have some great artists coming up this week bit error with us. As soon as I saw their work, I knew I had to interview this amazingly talented artist.
Bit Error is a full-time digital artist based in Madrid. They work with photos, videos, vectors, textures and anything else that inspires them. The wide variety of artwork shows that they are constantly pushing the boundaries of their creativity and experimenting with new ideas and mediums.
So let’s take a closer look at how Bit Error entered the NFT space and what’s to come, and see some of their magical creations!
How did you find out about the NFT space and what drew you to creating your own NFT?
I first became interested in the world of cryptocurrencies in 2015, when I started researching design and video. When I started looking at platforms like Makersplace, Superrare and KnownOrigin in 2019, these two things came together and I decided to apply them all. Turn my artwork into an NFT.
How often do you create them?
I do this full time because this is how I make my living. I create every day and do a lot of work in parallel. Work on one task for a while, then move on to another task. That’s part of my creative process. How much time you spend on each task depends on how far along you are and your motivation at the moment. While I’m working on one artwork, I sometimes get ideas for other artwork. I work a little chaotic, but that’s what works for me.
what is your creative process?
Start thinking about the topic you want to address and look for materials to do so. Other times, we simply look for material without a specific idea, and from there we get an idea to act on or a topic to address. You may even get ideas. Watch series and movies, read books, name songs. Once you have your material, start in Photoshop and move to After Effects if you want to add video or animation. Once I have that, I usually finish in Premiere, but I also use many other web tools and mobile applications. Try another software.
Are there any CryptoArtists you would like to collaborate with?
There are many, but soon I will be collaborating with one of my favorite artists @Gala_Mirissa. I will also be collaborating with my best friend @Jametrik, an amazing artist.
And there are many people who want to be together.
What do you think the future of CryptoArt will look like?
If we talk about crypto art in terms of works that only talk about crypto themes, it will go down in history as another topic in the art world. It speaks of real-life issues that will become very important in society as it represents the ubiquitous technology of the future.
As for NFTs in general, I think they will continue to provide opportunities for artists to earn a living like never before. So I think NFTs will continue to develop and more and more artists will adopt this technology for all their work. I think it will be adopted by musicians, filmmakers, writers, and people doing creative work. In the future all digital works will be NFTs.
What are you working on now?
I’m creating artwork that I create with Async Art. It’s called Black Beauty and consists of 4 remixable layers with 6,000 possible portrait different states.
I’m also making daily posters for a personal project called “One Day Posters for Thousand Days” which can be seen here. clary.
