The filed patent appears to relate to a project that is expected to commence around the Las Vegas Grand Prix event scheduled for October 2023.

According to the official document, formula one aims to release a large number of digital goods, specifically computer programs and NFTs related to headphones, clothing, wallets, etc.
A filing dated 23 August 2022 revealed that F1 will also offer financial services, including e-wallets and cryptocurrencies. We don’t know yet what will happen next.
Most sports-related NFTs tend to be collectibles or some kind of fan access tool, but it’s too early to tell.
