
Warner Music Group has partnered with OpenSea to enable artists to engage with their fan base through NFT.
The September 29 announcement said that “select WMG artists” will be able to “build and grow their fan communities on web3.”
Selected artists will be given access to a new ‘drops product’, increased visibility and a personalized landing page on the OpenSea website. OpenSea also offers “dedicated support” for WMG artists. This is not available to all content creators on the platform.
Artists selected by WMG will be given a “dedicated drop page to host limited edition projects,” giving fans more opportunities to interact with their favorite musicians.
WMG’s Chief Digital Officer, Oana Ruxandra, said:
