We had a very interesting guest on the CoinJournal podcast this week.
Serial entrepreneur Corey Wilton told us his story. Originally from Australia’s Gold Coast, he failed to get into college. He now runs his 75-employee metaverse company Mirai Labs in Vietnam and has some great stories out of the hysteria of the last few years.
Honesty can be hard to find in crypto, but Corey has it. Adept at discussing the darker side of cryptocurrency pump and dump, fraud, and countless other problems he faced his own mistakes and failed companies inspired by the Dollar Shave Club. We also delved into the hurdles.
For entrepreneurs in this field, or really outside the field, this is worth listening to (pardon my bias). Despite being young, Corey has learned many lessons and it is interesting to hear him speak.
Of course, we also chat about blockchain games and cryptocurrencies in general. The sector has clearly retreated significantly, explaining this new climate and how the easy upswing of the bull market has come to an end.
I especially enjoyed the candid assessment of the many projects looking to tokenize anything, regardless of use case. , has some fascinating stories to tell.
Despite launching the metaverse racing game Pegaxy only a year ago, it quickly gained 500,000 users before the bear market hit.
Corey is currently passionate about building and improving the game he’s developing and applying everything he’s learned so far. This was fun.
