Argentina Football Association paired with Upland, the metaverse platform. This partnership follows the recent football victories in the FIFA World Cup competition. As a result, the partnership between the Argentine Football League and Upland marks the league’s first foray into the metaverse.
The partnership represents an agreement between the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and Silicon Valley-based Upland. Opportunities following the partnership include a digital collection of Argentine football including clubs, tickets, players, match highlights, exclusive ownership of LPF match highlight video moments, and additional exclusive offers. On the other hand, users can also create virtual businesses that resell LPF digital collections in user-owned shops located on virtual properties.
Moreover, the partnership does not only benefit players. It also benefits Upland and the Argentine Soccer League. In effect, both parties earn income as users buy, sell, and trade digital assets.
This is not the only recent foray into the Web3 space in Argentina. Just a few days ago, a new bill called “Financial Innovation for Investment and Socio-Economic Development” was passed. The bill will show the San Luis Art Digital Assets issued by the San Luis Province of Argentina, featuring NFTs and other collectibles from local artists.
