Grant Niven, Head of Group Digital Group at Saudi Franci Bank, is leaving the bank after almost three years.
Niven, who announced his retirement on LinkedIn, said his next appointment has not yet been determined but is embarking on a “short sabbatical.”
At Banque Saudi Fransi, Niven was responsible for the development and execution of the bank’s company-wide ‘digital vision’ and strategic initiatives.
He has built, developed and led a team to this end, launching a new venture leveraging digital technology.
Niven was also responsible for defining the bank’s venture funding strategy and operating model, as well as the fintech partnership ecosystem.
Niven says: Over the past three years, I have had the great pleasure of working at Banque Saudi Fransi, supporting Mike Cunningham and his team of talented people to create the digital go-to bank in Saudi Arabia.
Niven continues to work with UAE-based digital advisory firm Mingzulu. Mingzulu, which he founded, focuses on fintech, digital, banking and venture his capital sector.
During Niven’s tenure, Banque Saudi Fransi has undergone a digital transformation.
Founded in 1977, Banque Saudi Fransi offers corporate banking, commercial banking and retail banking including Islamic banking. The bank is an affiliate of Crdit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank.
