ChainPort launches permissionless porting to Dogechain

ChainPort became the first cross-chain bridge to support permissionless token porting to Dogechain. With ChainPort’s backing, users can easily transfer tokens from multiple supported blockchain ecosystems to Dogechain, Coin Journal learned from an exclusive press release.

Supported chains include Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, and Fantom, with support for native tokens coming soon.

wide range of possibilities

This new bridging option offers a wide range of new possibilities for projects wishing to participate in the growing Dogechain ecosystem.

Extending ChainPort’s bridging support to Dogechain is another important milestone. Safe interoperability across as many chains as possible is part of ChainPort’s mission.

Dogecoin’s Leading L2 Solution

Dogechain is a Layer 2 solution developed for Dogecoin (DOGE) built on Polygon Edge’s “private label” framework.

Dogecoin holders will have access to smart contract features such as DeFi services, DAOs, NFTs, and game projects. Dogechain claims to be community focused with no VC allocation.

All transactions on Dogechain are settled in DOGE

A unique DC token will be airdropped to Dogecoin holders later this year. These DC tokens will allow users to participate in Dogechain’s proof-of-stake governance.

It is important to note that Dogechain and Dogecoin are not affiliated. The new blockchain expands Dogecoin’s use cases, but both projects have different development teams.

The ChainPort team commented:

Our mission is to increase interoperability securely across as many chains as possible. We mark a significant milestone for the project as it becomes the first and only bridge that allows altcoins to be ported to Dogechain.
