A NAME NFT typically costs 100 MANA and can be purchased on the Decentraland Marketplace and assigned to a user’s LAND or avatar. However, he doesn’t need to already own LAND, as Decentraland’s purpose is to foster activity among users.

As a result of this new initiative, Worlds will “lower the barriers to becoming a DCL creator, ultimately facilitating the continued growth and enrichment of the Decentraland platform.”
Once a user has created a world, they can host their own events within it. Additionally, each world can span up to 5 parcels and hold up to 100 users at once. Given how much the metaverse has grown and the diversity of events held there, this feature could spark a new wave of activity within the Decentraland ecosystem.
