Decentralized music streaming service Audius (AUDIO) has rolled out support for popular video-sharing app TikTok, sparking a rally for the platform’s native cryptocurrency.
according to Audisnew users of the platform will be able to sign up using their TikTok profile, and after linking their accounts, they will be able to import their handles and verification status into Audius.
“One-click signup with your TikTok account. Verified on TikTok? Now you can verify on Audius.”
This development will allow TikTok users to share Audius songs in videos.
“Do you have a track on Audius that your TikTok followers need to hear? Export amazing videos and visualizers in one click and share them with your TikTok fans!”
Audius expects more exposure to TikTok users after the release of new features. Forrest Browning, co-founder and chief product officer of the company, said: CoinDesk,
TikTok has grown into a social media juggernaut over the past few years, and we want the Audius ecosystem to be able to capitalize on that. Everything that is good for artists is good for the Audius community. By allowing us to import verified statuses from TikTok, we believe we can attract an even wider group of talent.
Amidst the excitement, the price of AUDIO jumped 21.76% over the last 24 hours. This token is trading at $0.38 at the time of writing.
