Derivatives Giant CME Group To Launch Ethereum Options Ahead of ETH 2.0 Merge

The world’s largest financial derivatives exchange has announced plans to roll out new Ethereum-based financial products ahead of a major smart contract platform upgrade scheduled for mid-September.

In a new statement, CME Group To tell Starting Ethereum options (ethereum) September 12 futures, pending regulatory review and approval.

These new contracts will offer one Ether futures contract size of 50 Ether per contract based on the CME CF Ether Dollar reference rate, which serves as the daily reference rate for the USD price of Ether.
