premier league football club Everton has partnered with fashion-focused NFT platform Fancurve to create digital shirts that fans can buy for their Metaverse avatars. The partnership between Funcurve and the Merseyside giants follows the platform’s similar partnership with La Liga side Real Betis.
NFT shirts are described as high-end photorealistic digital jersey Curated by Fancurve’s in-house team of 3D fashion designers. Their aesthetic draws inspiration from the club’s coveted 144-year history and consists of original designs as opposed to replica his kits. Doing so will give him shirts of varying rarities, avoid his IP issues for third parties, and ensure that assets aren’t tied to being relevant to only one season of him.
Talking about this initiative Chris CookFancurve’s senior vice president of partnerships said: We are proud to partner with such a prestigious Premier League club as Everton, with its passionate fan base and rich history. We aim to be a wearable platform and believe this partnership will help Everton and its community grow by exploring the Web 3.0 football fandom together.
The digital shirts will be available for sale on Fancurve’s website for an undetermined date and price, and will accept fiat currency payments. In the meantime, you can register your interest in the project to receive updates.
