The former US president is releasing a thriving non-fungible token (NFT) collection on OpenSea.

Last year, the former president suggested that cryptocurrencies and related cryptocurrency technology looked like “an upcoming disaster.”
Things have changed since then. First, Melania, the wife of a polarizing politician, launched her own series of NFTs on the Solana (SOL) blockchain earlier this year.Now Donald Trump has released himself series In Polygon (MATIC).

The collection sold out in the early hours of Friday morning, the day after its release. The card’s price is currently skyrocketing on OpenSea, the largest Ethereum (ETH) NFT exchange by trading volume. The digital collectibles originally retailed for $99 each, but less than 24 hours after launch, the price has already skyrocketed.
At the time of writing, the lowest price for a Trump digital trading card on OpenSea is 0.159 ETH, or around $190, almost double the entry price.
While some are listed at over 100,000,000,000,000 ETH, the Trump NFT’s actual top selling price at the time of writing is 6 ETH, or $7,162. The transaction occurred on December 15th, same as the release of the collection.
