Paytech’s company, GoCardless, will acquire Nordigen, a freemium open banking data provider in Latvia.
GoCardless claims to leverage Nordigen’s open banking connectivity to provide Europe’s “widest” coverage to more than 2,300 banks in 31 countries.
Hiroki Takeuchi, co-founder and CEO of GoCardless, said the acquisition would take the company to the “next level” and “provide open banking as a service to all developers, partners and fintechs.” I am saying.

The contract is expected to close in the second half of summer. Further terms for the acquisition have not been disclosed.
GoCardless has recently been pushing for an open banking strategy, tipping it into a market worth “more than $ 400 billion.”
