Globally, venture debt is an important asset class for high-growth companies to support growth between two equity raises. Companies typically use capital for team building, working capital, and capital expenditures. In the US, the venture debt industry accounts for approximately 15-20% of venture capital investments over the long term. The market is not well penetrated in the GCC and India regions.
