The development team behind Cardano (ADA) has confirmed the date for the long-awaited Vasil hard fork upgrade of its smart contract platform.
Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), the team behind the Ethereum (ETH) challenger, To tell The update will go live on September 22nd.
“VASIL Upgrade: Date Confirmed.
After successful completion and extensive testing of all core components, as well as confirmation of community readiness, [The Cardano Foundation] We can announce Vasil’s upgrade on Cardano mainnet today, September 22nd. ”
IOHK says Vasil’s hard fork is the “most significant” Cardano upgrade to date, as it will significantly increase the blockchain’s network capacity and reduce transaction costs. says it will power Cardano’s smart contract mechanism, Plutus.
