
The NFT space is one of the most innovative and creative digital movements of the last few years. The fact that it’s still emerging means there are still a number of legal issues that need to be resolved. A recent example is Juventus FCa popular football club that won an injunction against an NFT company.
Why Juventus went to court
The company in question creates and sells NFTs featuring images of former Juventus FC players and includes several visual elements related to the club. These NFTs are sold on the Binance Marketplace and Juventus FC has taken legal action. A judge has now ordered the company to stop selling or promoting these NFTs as they are trademark infringement.
