Norway Announces Exciting New Tax Office in Decentraland

land of legends Norway announced its latest grand plan to “get along with the kids.” Essentially, it is a scheme to establish its own tax office in Decentraland. yeah you read that right.

Norway continues its broader goal of embracing the crypto space and working on the latest cutting edge technologies. As a result, trying to tune in to the mindset of tech-savvy youth in the hipster new world of the Metaverse can be the most exploited place in the virtual space.

Through this initiative, Norway has partnered with global consultancy group Ernst & Young, working together in hopes of educating the public about the tax implications of DeFi and NFTs. It provides a virtual hub for a treasure trove of tax-related information and could bring a gaming element to the overall experience.

This isn’t the first time a government has tried to get involved with the Metaverse Native Generation. Last year, the tiny nation of Barbados announced it would set up an embassy in Decentraland. But now, a full year later, the venue is notable for its absence.
