Planetarium Labs launches an NFT project for Nine Chronicles

Planetarium Labs has revealed that its new NFT project will give cats their rightful place at the center of the Nine Chronicles universe.

Planetarium Labs, a community-driven Web3 gaming company, announced the launch of a new NFT project on Tuesday, August 23rd.

A new PFP NFT series called D:CC (De:Centralized Cat) is for Planetarium Labs’ popular decentralized MMORPG, Nine Chronicles. The team added that the public program will officially launch to his NFT community on August 24, 2020.

According to a press release shared with Coinjournal, PFP NFTs are a type of non-fungible token collection designed to be used as online avatars or social media profile pictures.

However, the team says the new ‘D:CC’ NFT series announced by Nine Chronicles is more than just a simple profile picture.

According to Planetarium Labs, each PFP is an invitation to a different identity for the player within the sprawling Nine Chronicles universe. NFT ownership gives each owner a number of perks, including exclusive rewards, in-game costumes and items, additional currency, and more available only to NFT owners. Members will also vote on future collaborations.

Nine Chronicles Art Director Sangmi Seon (Caesty) commented:

According to the team, Nine Chronicles also plans additional NFT collaboration events with leading Web 3 games such as The Sandbox, Sipher and Delysium.

Nine Chronicles is a decentralized, open source, free-to-play MMORPG based on Norse mythology and the first title developed with Libplanet.
