Web3 messaging project Push Protocol announced at EthCC the launch of Push Spaces, an innovative, decentralized, community-based streaming solution.
The introduction is a notable step towards improving online communications in the future, and the company believes it will revolutionize the way Web3 users interact.
Harsh Rajat, co-founder and leader of Push Protocol, said: crypto slate,
Our goal is to revolutionize the way Web3 users interact with each other natively on Web3, and cross-identity messaging is a big step in that direction.
As reported, Push Spaces is an encouraging platform that offers a decentralized alternative to existing solutions, offering enhanced user experience, privacy and censorship resistance.
Similar to Twitter Spaces, Push Spaces allow users to host or participate in open forums, providing an opportunity to chat, express thoughts, and respond. A cryptocurrency wallet is required to participate in the push space. The push protocol currently supports Ethereum, Polygon, and BSC wallets for this purpose.
A feature of Push Spaces is that no transaction signing or gas/fee payment is required to access the service. This feature provides a user-friendly approach to interacting within the Web3 space.
Push protocol and unstoppable domains
In conjunction with this launch, Push Protocol announced strategic partnerships with Unstoppable Domains and Polygon to enable cross-namewallet messaging for Unstoppable’s 3.6 million users.
This partnership aims to enhance the adoption of decentralized messaging and significantly improve the wallet user experience. Rajat said.
The most interesting thing about our partnership with Unstoppable Domain is that this could be the tipping point in bringing Web3 native communications solutions to the masses.
Sandy Carter, COO and Head of Business Development at Unstoppable Domains, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration.
We are thrilled to partner with Push on messaging and add utility to the Web3 domain. We put messaging in the hands of the community and can’t wait to drive the new wave of Web3 communications.
Building a decentralized social graph.
Push Spaces offers a unique solution in the face of numerous challenges facing incumbent social media giant Twitter. The platform is built on top of Push Protocol’s existing communications ecosystem, comprising over 700 applications and over 90,000 subscribers across his three blockchains, making it the first decentralized audio and video streaming application of its kind.
The Push Spaces announcement follows the recent launch of Push Chat, a wallet-to-wallet text and video chat service. Both developments further underscore his Push Protocol efforts to provide a decentralized alternative to traditional messaging platforms. Mr Rajat said:
Our developments, including Push Spaces, are paving the way for the future of communications networks. We believe our decentralized approach will bring new levels of security, privacy and control to our users.
Push Protocol’s vision goes beyond building a “decentralized Twitter space”. As an open-source protocol, it encourages developers to innovate in new ways of envisioning how audio and video streaming should be, including a token-gated space for community members with finer-grained access controls.
With the introduction of Push Spaces and burgeoning partnerships with Unstoppable Domains and Polygon, Push Protocol continues its commitment to building a communications network for Web3, addressing critical infrastructure gaps and improving the everyday experience of blockchain users.
