A new money transfer startup, SendSprint, has been launched in the UK and targets 1.7 million African diasporas in the UK.
The company launched in partnership with paytech Flutterwave in Nigeria. It provides the infrastructure needed to enable SendSprint to handle cross-border transactions.
SendSprint initially provides senders with three destination countries: Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa. The company will accept 300,000 UK customers and an additional 400,000 overseas customers in the first 18 months.
Based in the United States and Nigeria, Paytech will set up an international headquarters in the United Kingdom and will expand its business to the United States and Canada in the coming months.
SendSprint’s money transfer service enables flat-rate money transfers of $ 5 with favorable exchange rates and real-time transaction monitoring.
In addition, its Sprint Connect offering allows customers to send gift cards to African recipients for routine purchases of groceries, fashion, beauty products, healthcare and more.
