Sony Network Communications Inc., an operating company of the Sony Group, will co-host the Web3 Incubation Program with Astar Network, a multi-chain smart contract platform. Sony Network Communications and Astar Network will combine their respective resources and expertise to jointly foster his Web3 project focused on the utility of NFTs and DAOs.
The Web3 Incubation Program by Sony Network Communications and Astar runs from mid-March to mid-June. The program will begin accepting applications on his February 17th. Both Sony Network Communications and the Astar Foundation review all applications and determine 10-15 cohorts. Sony and Astar will organize the incubation program in collaboration with Astar Network CEO Sota Watanabe’s Startale Labs, a Singapore-based company founded by him.

Startale Labs develops dApps and infrastructure and provides business consulting services based on its expertise in multi-chain protocol development. It also acts as a gateway for large companies to integrate with his Astar Network. Startale leverages Astar’s expertise in development, past consulting and R&D business to provide business strategy and technical support for participating projects.
Sony Network Communications will continue its mission to support new organizations leveraging telecommunications businesses and assets within the Sony Group. Established a branch office in Singapore for commissioned development and consulting services related to NFT products.
The program invites participants from all over the world, regardless of Web3’s start-up phase. Includes learning sessions with global VC firms such as Dragonfly, Fenbushi Capital and Alchemy Ventures. and Web3 companies, as well as business and technology strategy workshops. In mid-June, during Japan Blockchain Week, an offline demo day will be held at the Sony Group headquarters in Tokyo.
