South Korean City to Offer NFT ‘Citizenship’

A while ago, it was reported that Seongnam, South Korea’s 12th most populous city, would create a metaverse version for the public.

According to local reports, the government will also issue virtual citizenships to Metaverse cities. This citizenship will be issued as his NFT and will be granted access to the platform. This will allow anyone to virtually access municipal information.

Construction on the city will begin next month, and the results of the service are expected to arrive by April 2023. Once the results are collated and reviewed, the platform will be open to the public from May or June 2023.
