Web3 games are all the rage these days, and South Korea’s leading video game developer, Wemade, is considering entering the space. Luckily, he’s mobilized massive support on top of his recent $46 million funding round to make it happen.
This impressive funding round microsoft, Shinhan Asset Management, Kiwoom Securities, etc. With this funding, the company plans to release web3 games leveraging his NFTs, collateralized stablecoins, and other decentralized products. The company also announced plans to launch NILE. NFT platform managed by DAO That will tie in with its web3 ambitions.
Wemade has already ventured into the blockchain industry, releasing several blockchain game titles, including the popular Mir 4 Global game. Microsoft is also exploring blockchain and the gaming industry, and most notably, he recently acquired Activision Blizzard.
Now that this funding round is complete, fans will have to wait and see what new projects come out of it.
