Patrick Smith is Pure Storage’s Field CTO for EMEA, a position he has held since May 2018. As Senior He Technical He Advisor, he provides key information and leadership across engineering, product management, sales, marketing and pre-sales. Prior to joining Pure, he was Head of Core Engineering at Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for engineering for servers and storage. This includes product evaluation and selection, testing and certification, strategy and roadmap ownership, and technical governance. He also led global infrastructure engineering teams at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. In his spare time he is an avid park runner, listening to music, watching sports and going on surf trips with his family.
