Astar Network’s latest ad aims to spearhead the growth of Japan’s web3 ecosystem and is endorsed by over 300 Japanese companies.
Astar Network, a multi-chain smart contract platform, revealed Monday that it has set a world record for running national newspaper ads supported by hundreds of companies.
According to a press release shared with Coinjournal, Astar Network said it has connected Japan’s top brands through Nikkei ads, with 329 companies supporting the latest web3 ads.
Astar Network is a Japan-based layer 1 blockchain recently named the most popular blockchain in the country by the Japan Blockchain Association.
The team said its latest ad is a way to support the Japanese government and its growth strategy via web3. The Japanese government recently made Web3 part of its national strategy.
Astar Network ran web3 ads with the help of 320 companies including top institutions such as GMO, DeNA, Accenture, Microsoft and AWS.

As part of an advertising campaign, Astar Network is distributing free NFTs via QR codes. According to Astar Network, anyone can scan his QR code in the bottom right corner of the Nikkei newspaper ad to receive the non-transferable NFT.
Additionally, the QR code will automatically generate a new wallet address for those who do not have one.
Astar Network enables developers to launch dApps on EVM and WASM smart contracts using Cross Consensus Messaging (XCM) and the Build2Earn model.
This ensures that developers get paid for the code they write and the dApps they build via the dApp staking mechanism. Astar Network features his Astar Space Labs, which provides his hub for incubating top TVL dApps so developers can accelerate growth with his Polkadot and Kusama.
