Bitcoin back to 15th-largest market cap following fall to 26th in 2022

Bitcoin (BTC) holds the 15th largest market cap at $441.53 billion as of January 23rd. This reflects a significant jump from 26th place on December 23, 2022.

BTC climbs the rankings again

BTC’s market cap has registered a 35.9% growth from $324.68 billion recorded on December 23, 2022. At the time, Mastercard was just ahead of BTC with his $328.35 billion, while Tesla held his 13th largest market capitalization with his $395.82 billion.

Current numbers show that BTC’s market capitalization is above both Mastercard and Tesla. Mastercard climbed the ranking from 25 to 23 by expanding its market capitalization by 10% to reach $361.77 billion. Meanwhile, Tesla’s market capitalization has only increased by 6%, dropping from 13th to 18th in the rankings.

ETH rises by $50 billion market cap

Ethereum (ETH) has also increased its market cap ranking by about $50 billion since December 23, 2022. ETH ranked 77th with a market capitalization of $147.6 billion on December 23, 2022. ETH’s current market cap is $197.48 billion, which reflects a growth of 33.7%, placing ETH at number 56.
