Coin Bureau Host Previews Updated Altcoin Portfolio As Ethereum Merge Approaches

The pseudonymous host of a popular blockchain YouTube channel is allowing subscribers to join his cryptocurrency portfolio.

Coin Bureau host Guy is updating his crypto collection as Ethereum (ETH) is about to merge.

“It is inevitable that the merger will not go entirely to plan, but we are confident it will nonetheless. Added a few. [Lido DAO] and some STETH [Lido Staked Ether] to my belongings.

They now make up just under 3% of my portfolio. Of course, ETH is my largest holding at just under 41%. Now, a successful merger should be good news for LDO, STETH and ETH, but I don’t think they can really sell much unless they really, really pump. ”

Coin Bureau hosts then point to ETH rival Solana (SOL) as the best Layer 1 hedge against failed merges.

“My focus has always been long-term and to be honest, I have never really been one to trade. I always have a few dry powders on hand in case I find one, now I keep mine at USDC [US Dollar Coin] I recently decided to take some of it to buy more SOL.

Basically, Solana is a project that I believe in despite its recent struggles, and wanted to hedge a bit more against possible merge issues. Even if the merger goes well, I think SOL still has room to grow. ”
