With interest in the Metaverse growing, I’m curious to speak with various creators and hear their take on the future of Decentraland. So I recently talked with metafox crewa group of three decided to join the Metaverse one Christmas night.
Who is behind the Metafox crew?
Two brothers (3D artist and developer) and a friend (cryptocurrency enthusiast). After the pandemic, we got together for Christmas dinner to daydream about the future and new technologies. So our adventure began!
Where are you from and what did you do before enlisting?
We were doing what we still do! Our designers bring other stylish things to life outside of the metaverse, our programmers work in his IT companies as data his scientists, our cryptocurrency experts work in the film industry, and they are used on the big and small screens. Bring your story to life.
How many people do you work with and what kind of people do you work with?
No other collaboration is required in the NFT creation process. But we want to create an active group to share ideas for our next creation. As such, there is a private discord channel that can only be joined if you have minted wearables and NFTs. So NFTs are more than simple jpegs. Prove that you belong to a specific group backed by a great blockchain.
Is your team remote?
Yes, two of us are in Italy and one is in Spain.
What is the story behind the 3D limited edition masks created by The Metafox Crew?
It originally started as a collection of artistic sketches made by artists with the ultimate goal of choosing two official Decentraland crew helmets (boss level and member level).
So I had the idea to modify the model and make it my own NFT.
Was it originally planned for Decentraland?
Yes, two masks: Crew Member (one of the “classic” foxes) and Golden Boss are now wearables in Decentraland!
I also decided to create a collection of unique NFT masks to spark your imagination by experimenting with different combinations!of collection Contiguous development.
What is your biggest challenge as a creator of the Web3 space?
There is already a lot of competition and everything is new. Everything is changing rapidly and you should always be ready.
What advice would you give to newcomers?
Our advice is to start with a small investment in understanding how the world works, and be patient and figure out when it’s the right time to launch!
Oh, of course, you don’t necessarily have to rely on experts in the field to get advertising on social media.
Would you consider yourself a fashion brand?
No, we consider ourselves crew members.
What do you think about the cybersecurity aspect of the Metaverse? Have you ever been scammed? What would you advise others?
We have never been scammed. Security is the most important thing in the crypto world. There are various blockchains and Ethereum is one of the most secure blockchains. Of course, there are many scams here as well, but you should research and choose a chain with a strong technical structure.
How should Decentraland wearables evolve?
It can also be worn in other metaverses.
What is your greatest joy as a metaverse creator?
See your collection appreciated and worn by people all over the world.
Would you consider creating a real-life piece that replicates a digital one?
No, or at least not for now. If anything, one day we’ll be building actual gadgets instead of building actual versions of wearables.
Is fashion in the Metaverse better than fashion in real life?
Not right now, but certainly in the near future.
Who are your favorite creators on the scene?
Nikki Fuego, michi_todd, MetaJewels, Malloy, METATIGER.
What is your vision for the Metaverse?
An unlimited place of sharing and acceptance.
