One of them would be the late iconic boxer Muhammad Ali. This is because Boxer’s estate filed for trademarks for his NFTs and other web3 products on October 18, 2022.

The trademark filed by Ali’s estate is under U.S. registration number 6881575 and covers a multitude of possible products, according to a tweet by trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis.

This development is also the latest in a growing list of celebrity web3 trademark applications. Everyone from Kanye West to the Mean Girls franchise has filed for the web3 trademark, making him one of the hottest branding trends among celebrities.
But regardless of what projects may come out of it, they’re not Ali’s first web3 appearances. Mohammed his Ali biopic, which is in development by Studio Pictures, will be announced in May 2022, along with the launch of his NFT related to the film.
