OIX Finds Digital Vouching Crucial to Prevent Millions Being Excluded from Digital ID Ecosystems

Non-profit organization Open Identity Exchange (OIX) Has published a recent paper outlining the important role that the digital warranty process can play in addressing the issue of access to basic and essential public and private sector services.

Digital warranty is a process that involves someone who is already legally trusted to guarantee another individual they have known for some time, but who is having a hard time proving who they are. is.

when World Bank Estimated Digital IDs were widely recognized as the key to addressing this issue, as 1.1 billion people worldwide lacked formal identification and were therefore excluded from basic services.

However, as the digital identity ecosystem grows and trust frameworks have been established around the world to manage and enable the secure and fair use of digital IDs, individuals who are still unable to prove who they are.
