Philippines’ Robinson Bank (RBank) has chosen paytech provider BPC and its flagship SmartVista payment platform.

RBank and BPC Team for Financial Inclusion in the Philippines
The new software will be used to replace RBank’s legacy system, launch the bank’s new credit card issuance solution, and support new virtual cards.
BPC says it was selected based on its experience and local presence (it has been operating in the Philippines since 2004).
Maire Karabel D. Dadufalza, Head of Cards at RBank, said:
We are excited to work with an agile technology partner who supports our growth and new product development ambitions with a dynamic and ever-changing innovation roadmap.
The Philippines has a population of over 100 million people spread across over 7,000 islands, yet more than 70% of Filipinos do not have access to a bank account.
This is the beginning of a landmark collaboration, said Eugene Gutierrez, SVP of BPC and country director for the Philippines, commenting on the transaction. We do not see it as a vendor-client relationship, but rather a partnership to co-innovate and drive digital financial inclusion across the Philippines.
