Porygon to save the world
By constantly researching and using the power of blockchain and Web3 technology, we have shown that the Polygon network can help solve big environmental problems. In 2020, Polygon Labs began research into emissions and how layer 1 and layer 2 blockchain operations interact.
Polygon has also pledged $20 million to a series of community initiatives, including funding projects that create climate offset verticals within its ecosystem and use technology to combat climate change. Web3 and blockchain technology are still in their early stages, but they have a lot of potential to help solve the environmental crisis we are currently facing.
