This invitation is open not only to potential victims of Bankman-Fried fraud, but also to those who may have witnessed the fraud.

This page also explains the rights guaranteed to victims under US criminal law. This includes protection from defendants, timely notice of court proceedings, the right to be heard in court, and a variety of other rights.

As a result of recent court proceedings, the Southern District of New York created a webpage on Friday. In these proceedings, the Secretariat asked the judge’s permission to collectively address her FTX users through a web page. With his FTX’s large user base, which includes over a million individuals, targeted email was not feasible.

Presumably, the information the office obtained via email will be used in the ongoing lawsuit against former Bankman Freed. The former FTX CEO’s last public hearing will take place on January 3rd, and his next trial is scheduled for October.

Today’s message is aimed at scam victims, but the Southern District of New York is also looking for past FTX associates. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams issued a statement to that effect after reaching a plea bargain with two FTX associates on December 21.

“If you were complicit in cheating at FTX and Alameda, now is the time to get ahead of it,” said Williams. “We are moving quickly and our patience is not forever.”
