NFTs are most popular among young people, so it’s no surprise that college students are proposing many innovative NFT projects. Just days after Miami Dade College announced his NFT event, a Utah Valley University student made headlines with these assets.
Students at the Woodbury School of Business and College of Engineering and Technology reportedly Utah Valley University (UVU) has designed school-themed NFTs and created its own marketplace where they can be traded.
Learning through NFTs
According to Dr. Rachel Bi, head of UVU’s FinTech Center and supervisor of the project, this has helped students in both creative and educational activities. As she explains, her NFTs are more widely used these days and she wants her students to understand how they work.

The NFT and Marketplace have been developed over a year as a collaboration between students, Dr. Rachel Bi, Dr. Jingpeng Tang, and a fintech company called Ocavu. The end result is 11 of her UVU-themed NFTs priced at $2,000 each!
