A unique prize NFT tied to Yuga Labs’ Dookey Dash game sold for $1.6 million, according to a tweet from the original owner. February 27.
Twitch streamer Faze Mongral said he sold the item to billionaire metal recycling and cryptocurrency mining entrepreneur Adam Weitsman for 1,000 ETH ($1.6 million).
Mongral was awarded the key on February 16 after achieving a high score in Dookey Dash. He originally aimed to sell the item for his $3.7 million, but there were no bids at that level.
Among the higher bids was 690 ETH ($1.1 million) from United Planets DAO on February 25th. Mongral asked the group to double his bid, but was turned down. His 9GAG, a social video site, then bid on him for 999 WETH ($1.6 million).
The NFT called “#21915 – Sewer Pass” Listed on OpenSea.
Unlike many NFT games based on chance, Dookey Dash is a skill-based game. This game is associated with Yuga Lab’s Bored Ape Yacht Club collection.
